Amazfit Signs Olympian and Canadian Half-Marathon Record Holder Rory Linkletter as Newest Athlete Ambassador

MILPITAS, Calif., USA
April 13, 2026

One of North America's top marathoners joins Amazfit ahead of Boston Marathon, where he has publicly set his sights on a top-three finish as he chases records and a lasting running legacy.

Milpitas, Calif., April 13, 2026Amazfit, a leading global smart wearable brand owned by Zepp Health, today announced its partnership with pro marathoner Rory Linkletter as its newest athlete ambassador, welcoming him as a runner whose approach reflects how Amazfit believes modern marathon training should be built.

An Olympian and Canadian half-marathon record holder, Linkletter is one of North America's most accomplished distance runners and will train and race with Amazfit's newest performance running watch. The partnership comes as Linkletter prepares to compete at the Boston Marathon, where he has openly shared his goal of racing at the front and contending for a podium finish.

One of Canada’s top distance runners, Linkletter is the Canadian half marathon record holder with a personal best of 59:49, set earlier this year in Houston, and owns the second-fastest marathon time in Canadian history at 2:06:49.  Known for his high-risk, high-reward mindset, Linkletter has built his career through persistence, self-belief, and a training approach built on consistency and disciplined decision-making. After early ups and downs in the marathon, he has steadily developed into one of North America’s top marathoners, with ambitions that now extend well beyond national success.

"I'm not afraid to say that I want to be top three at Boston. I want to be competing at the front. And I don't necessarily care too much about whether or not I hit that goal — it's more about the process of aspiring to hit that goal and putting myself in every position possible to go after those things. Working with a brand like Amazfit that is deeply rooted designing products for athletes that level up their training is unmatched.” Rory Linkletter, professional marathon runner and Amazfit athlete ambassador.

He now joins Amazfit as he continues to build momentum on the global stage. Linkletter has been training with Amazfit wearables as part of his daily routine, using pace, heart rate, sleep, and recovery data to inform training decisions and validate how his body responds to each session. A self-described data-driven athlete, he relies on accurate performance metrics to help guide effort, validate how he feels, and stay locked into the consistent habits that fuel long-term progress.

How Rory Trains

Built for runners who believe preparation is everything, Amazfit supports the kind of intentional, high-mileage training that defines Linkletter's approach to marathon preparation. Rooted in a hybrid training philosophy, the brand helps runners build endurance alongside strength and recovery, supporting a more complete approach to performance over time.

"What makes Rory such a compelling partner for Amazfit is how he trains. He doesn't just chase times: he builds toward them deliberately, using data to make smarter decisions every day,” said Scott Shepley, Head of Global Marketing at Amazfit. “The way he talks about cross-referencing heart rate with how he actually feels, using both to guide daily training decisions, or using recovery metrics to stay ahead of fatigue, is exactly what we are designed to support. We're proud to have him training and competing with it as he goes after one of the sport's biggest stages in Boston."

High Risk, High Reward: An Amazfit Panel ft. Rory Linkletter

Linkletter will make his first public appearance as an Amazfit athlete at High Risk, High Reward, an exclusive panel discussion hosted by Amazfit during Boston Marathon weekend. The event takes place on Friday, April 17, at Hue Boston (90 Exeter Street, Boston, MA), with doors opening at 11:30 a.m. and the panel beginning at noon.

Linkletter will be joined by his running coach, Jon Green, who guided Molly Seidel to Olympic bronze; applied sport scientist Jonah Rosner; and Nike Run Coach and performance specialist Kristina Centenari. Together, the panel will explore what it takes to build toward elite performance, from the training decisions that shape a career to the data insights that inform daily preparation.

Following the panel, a meet-and-greet will give attendees the opportunity to connect directly with the athletes and coaches. Food, refreshments, and giveaways will be provided onsite. Registration is available at Eventbrite.

Linkletter lives and trains in Flagstaff, Arizona, with his wife Jill and their two children, with a third on the way. His story, including the role fatherhood has played in sharpening his sense of purpose, has resonated with a growing audience of runners who follow his training and family life.

With Rory Linkletter joining its growing roster of elite athletes, including Josh Kerr, Grant Fisher, Derrick Henry, Gabby Thomas, Amanal Petros, and Ruth Croft, Amazfit continues to strengthen its position in performance running and endurance sport.
